Sherry Sherrill is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Heavensgate Company. A former professional singer-songwriter, she is an accomplished classical pianist and also keyboardist who self-produces her original musical compositions, including an iconic creation she aptly titled "Tree Of Life". An prolific creative writer, Sherrill is also the author of numerous short stories, several feature film concepts and teleplay ideas, as well as a pair of visionary stage-play proposals. A proud member of Broadcast Music International (BMI), and the Warner Brothers-Discovery Producer's Portal, Sherrill is recognized not only for her artistic talents, but also for her commitment to environmental activism, and for her role as a noteworthy proponent of global community-wide youth opportunities becoming a coordinated enterprise. Environment Is Key
The New York State Department of Transportation is currently engaged in a highly controversial effort to expand the NY Route 33 Kensington Expressway. Among the advocates opposing this initiative is the East Side Collaborative Partnership, an environmental activism group founded by HG's CEO, Sherry Sherrill. ESCP is part of a broader network of partners involved in the Highway Removal Movement currently underway around the global community, and which has now reached Buffalo, New York. Supporting this development are various groups, including the East Side Parkways Coalition, We Are Women Warriors, Covington Associates Consulting, Partnership For The Public Good, WNY Youth Climate Council, Citizens For Regional Transit, ESCP [East Side Collab], East Side Stewards, Voice Buffalo, Coalition For Economic Justice, and too, East Side Stewards. At Covington Associates Consulting, Ms. Sherrill has played a pivotal role in the nomination and inclusion of the NY Route 33 Kensington and the NY Route 198 Scajaquada expressways, in the 2025 edition of Congress For The New Urbanism's influential report: "Freeways Without Futures". Sherrill has been involved in numerous neighborhood improvement and community development initiatives, for several decades. Her goal at CAC is to lead the charge to advocate for, and to aid in the removal of, the vast inventory of deteriorating and toxic transportation infrastructure structures dotting the expansive landscapes of urban and rural America.
