About CTRC
Community Technology Learning Centers
The mission of Community Technology Resource Center [CTRC], is to promote the full digital inclusion and participation of the world's minority communities. The first CTRC Site was launched in Year 2000, with the assistance of a charitable technology software donation, from the Microsoft Foundation. We look forward to bringing even more CTRC Sites to urban and rural neighborhoods and communities throughout the United States, and the world, in the coming years.
The CTRC Model
The City of Buffalo, New York's Municipal Housing Authority [BMHA}, was the location of the first Community Technology Resource Center. Many additional urban community-based technology learning centers are based, on the CTRC Sites model. CTRC was an initial early programme year applicant to the U.S. Department of Commerce's, National Telecommunications and Infrastructure Administration's, Technology Opportunities Program.
